Oldies

Wednesday nights is our weekly small group Bible study. This week as we were studying the story or Joseph we ended up on the topic of siblings and whether or not we got along with them growing up. As I think back I an think of many instances where we fought. Threw plates at each other, swore at each other, kicked, pushed, stole from one another. But I believe that overall we really did get along. My brothers and I got along really well since we were close in age, and when my sister was born she was just the new toy to play with. Then for some reason as soon as she started going to school we all three just sorta saw her more as a nuisance than anything else. Sorry about that Becky, we really love you now. I love the dynamic that sibling relationships take on as we grow into adulthood. I remember thinking for the first time while I was away from home for the first time at Bible school. What the....? I actually miss and like my siblings. Wierd! Who'da thought? Plus, weren't we just adorable.
Sorry Becky I didn't have any baby pics of you.

oh yes.. I remember that change in attitude quite clearly. It could have been that I became a "tattle tale" for everything, though! I love you so much, and I really have enjoyed this change in dynamic as we all get older, too. The age difference doesn't seem like a difference anymore.

Yeah, it's neat to see how the relationships evolve and who your siblings turn out to be.

I think you and Amanda Brown really might be sisters. That picture reminds me a lot of her younger pics.

You cute little blondie!! I like the pics. I definitely agree that the age gap becomes more non-existant as you get older...it's a wonderful thing. Hope I get to see you guys this weekend!....darn, I just failed the word verification..it was a long sucker...I hope it doesn't post my comment a million times now.

What a cute picture. I love the baby blonde curls. You are very lucky to have more than one sibling. I pray my girls will be close as adults and appreciate what they have being sisters.
