YIKES!

This, ladies and gentlemen is my grade nine graduation photo. I've been hoding off for awhile from sharing it with you. As you can probably see why. Amanda thought I should post it when we stumbled across it in my old photo album, along with some really nice, pimply-faced, greasy-haired, buckteethed shots of me. How any of us managed to survive that era is really just beyond me.

As you can see in the photo, I had yet to discover the benefits of tweezing the eyebrows and of course I too had the sausage roll bangs. Dustin said it so nicely when he said I looks like Darren in drag. Thanks honey. At the time I'd never felt so beautiful. All gussied up in my new navy lace dress from Mariposa with droopy shoulders cuz I took out the shoulder pads. Wearing a bad shade of red lipstick. And oh the eyebrows. I do look a little drag queenesque don't I? I think the tackiest part of all was the fact that I happened to be wearing ugly black leather sandals. And they weren't dressy sandals either. Just down right fugly.

I'll have you know Dustin, that at our grade nine grad as I was dressed up so lovely that night I was thought to be hot by many a greasy faced adolecent male. So there!

You were still a fox. Just with sausage roll bangs, that's all! Your lacy sleeves were to die for. :)

You were pretty, even back then!

Don't make me pull out my old photos. You'll regret it...or maybe you won't because then you'll see how hot you really were.

Christy, that made my day. But the things is, you're still hot. You didn't have braces OR glasses. Those complete the look. But I'm glad that can share in the sausage bangs. I too had them for many the years. After that picture, I can see, once more, why dustin fell head over heels for you!

I think you look like Jennifer Garner in this photo. And remember, Elektra is HOT.

The sad thing is, I wanted to use that dress for my grade nine grad, too! I'm pretty glad I didn't, though!
