A few thing I love.

Well, there's probably too many to list or to choose from but my kids have been doing INSANELY cute and funny things lately that I thought I should share. Besides it's been awhile since I wrote about the infinite cuteness of the Heigh brood.

I love how Ben comes dozily walking into our room every morning. Eyes mostly closed, stumbling about precariously. He always climbs up onto our bed and snuggles right down between Dustin's and my legs and falls right back to sleep for about ten minutes. Then, he's up for the day and lets us know by jumping over our legs again and again. While doing so roaring in his fiercest voice that can obtained while still at a whisper. I giggle every morning at his incessant leaping and "whisper roars".

I love how not long after that Megan comes tottering in, soother stuck in her face, blankie in one hand. I especially love her morning hair. It's the best bed head ever. Surrounding her face like a giant golden halo. Complete with irreversible rats nest at back of head. She however never wants to snuggle. She's a busy girl with things to do. Places to go. Like having "breastest"(breakfast).

Lately Megan has been mimicking my actions by disciplining her dolls. She sits them firmly on the chair in the living room declaring loudly their "TIME OUT!" "STAY DERE!" And she hold her hand out signaling them to stay. Then she crosses her arms over her little chest and stomps loudly away. I've been wondering if this is what I look like to her. Furrowed brow, arms crossed and stomping angrily about? Funny. My favourite part is when she goes back to her dolls and stands in front of them. She stares, brooding, and then finally states..."SO!" Oh, she's a funny girl.

Today, I was doing some paint touch ups on our baseboards when I heard Megan using a spanish word in context. Ben was holding a book closed and she wanted it open and she looked at him and yelled. "ABRE!" (open). Of course it was a Dora book. But, boy they really pick up stuff don't they?

Today Dustin told Megan that no she could not have another poscipall (popsicle). She started to have a little tantrum complete with yelling and kicking. But, Dustin didn't budge. He looked her straight in the eye and told her again that the answer was still no. To which she looked him back in the eyes crossed her arms over her chest and declaring a solid "FINE"! And then she stomped away. But, not before glowering at him from beneath her lashes for a few seconds. Talk about attitude.

I love how Ben refuses to go to bed at noght until he's been told a story. Not read one. BUt told one straight from Mommy's or Daddy's brilliant imaginations. Only every night he picks a new character. Only the charachter is always "Benny the (fill in the blank). Apparently, Dustin informed me that last nights advernture was "Benny the really fast lizard". Dustin, being the natural gifted story teller is MUCH better at making up these stories than I am. His always involve multiple characters and action and adventure. Mine are way less exciting and always involve some lame and cheezy moral to the story. Like how the Benny dinosaur needs to go to bed on time or else he gets really grumpy of even sick. Whenever I'm done my story he asks for a different one with an "adventure". So cute.

I especially love when my kids will come to me unexpectadly and clamour up onto my lap. Wrap thier little arms around my neck and squeeze. Megan will do this and then pull back and look at me grinning and say "awwwwwwww."

Awwww indeed.

There is so much I could go on and on. Mind you I could probably make and equally long if not longer list of the things I struggle with daily being a mother but you know the value and weight of that list is far less than that of the first. I'm so blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.

All of those things sound so great. And such a great thing to write so you can re-read them during the struggles. I'm glad you see being a SAHM as a blessing, you realy do cherish it don't you?!

Two year olds do come up with the funniest things sometimes. Brooklyn hears "stop that!" so frequently from her sisters that I have heard those very words said right back at them lately. There is nothing sweeter than the love from your kids. Definately makes up for the tough times(which we all struggle with).
