One Very Good Reason

I did it! I discovered the reason why my brain cells are flying out the proverbial window. AND why I've not been on the computer much lately. I had this moment where it all bcame crystal clear to me.

There I was minding my own business. (Which maybe I shouldn't have been) Surfing Blogs n such. When I heard a distinct CRACK!

Wha...?

There it was again.

Crack! And then there were lots of cracks!

I went out to investigate. I gasped. I was both stunned and amused to see my daughter standing in the living room surrounded my a dozen smashed eggs. One lone, whole egg still in her hand awaiting it's demise. Unbelievably, no slimy egg yolks landed on my rug. However, this incident has been preceeded by an equally tragic and unfortunate moment in which Megan located a black, premantent, jiffy marker and took it upon herself to display her artwork in Dustin's office. A particulary terrible offense as Dustin's office is his only sanctuary all to himself in our house. Her 'artwork' incredibly made it onto Dustin's new computer monitor, the new shelf, the walls, the office chair, Ben's shirt. And somehow onto Ben's scalp. Apparently he didn't make any protests.

Would you believe that as I was writing the previous paragraph I made a quick dash to check on the kids and Megan had just finished squeezing the last few squishy remnants from a previously full tube of toothpaste onto the floor, the table, the stool...

Sadly this story is not over. Yesterday there was the glue on the window indident, as well as the exfoliating face scrub on the wall incident, and while I was in the hospital there was the pink toothpaste all over everything incident.

It has become very clear to me that a)Megan has taken my last remaining brain cells and flushed them down the toilet along with her latest MacDonald's toy. And b)It is time to stop minding my own business and get all up in hers.

...i'm tired.

Oh goodness. What an adventuresome little girl Megan is! You are going to have great stories to tell her future husband and warn her about when she has kids...

That sucks, Christy! But you know what would help? Two extra pairs of hands helping out for 5/ 6 days!! I booked off work from Dec 29 - Jan 3/4.... So do you want us to come?? And Christy I am so happy for Olivia!! I almost cried when I read that she will probably never need surgery.. A weight off my heart. If you think we will be a burden more than a help, just let me know! We can always find a hotel or something. Spread the news, Becky and Travis are coming to town right after Santa!
