First "official" photoshoot!

This morning I decided to "get on with it" and do an official shoot of the kids. I dragged my new duvet cover downstairs and set it up in the living room drapped pricariously over the couch. I tried my best to get the three kids looking somewhat groomed. And began snapping away. And I LOVE what came out. Some of the pictures are a little out of focus, some are a bit goofy in the expressions but it was a blast. It was very fun practice indeed. These are some of my favourites among many. I can't wait to keep trying and experimenting. This only solidifies in my mind my love for photography and my desire to pursue it even more professionally. And I thank you all for your previous comments and encouragement to me about my pictures. It just pushes me on to greater things. It does help having such adorable subjects. Definitely click on the images to enlarge them, they look much better in the larger size. I did end up with a pee stained duvet cover though. :)

By the way THANK YOU ALL who "de lurked" and said hi. I had no idea so many people we enjoying what's going on in our family. And so many people I've lost touch with too! If you keep reading, I'll keep posting.
Love you all!

Beautiful photos. I love the white backdrop and your lighting is awesome! I too have thought of getting into photography but will wait until all the kids are in school.

you did a beautiful job, Chris. Why not practice when you have such adorable subjects? The duvet cover is a fabulous backdrop. I can't believe how big they are though...Ben is such a little man.

J's 1st ever photoshoot. The lady who takes these is just set up in her basement...nothing fancy, but she has some good lighting, an awesome camera, a great photo-editing program and a WHOLE bunch of talent! The link is

Olivia has blue eyes!!!! So cool. Her and Megan will look quite a bit alike later on I bet. Tell her to quit growing so big. At least until February when I get to see her. I cannot believe how much older Ben and Megan are looking. Especially Megan.
Love Auntie Manda

Super fun photos! Do you have an extra flash to attach to your camera? I just got one and love it when the natural light doesn't cooperate. Do you have a flickr account? I've learned so much from the photographers on there too.
