Does this mean I have to start acting more intelligent?

I have been blonde for my entire life. As a toddler I sported a lovely stringy, flyaway, white blonde do which evolved in a honey gold in my elemetary years eventually prograssing to a dirty mousy shade in highschool that I lightened artificially to various shades and hues of blonde as I deemed fit. There was one time a few years ago i bought a home dye kit and tried to dye my hair dark but it really just went more of a NASTY ORANGE. For the last few years I've been threatening to color my hair dark and even once made it all the way into the chair at the salon only to change my mind at the last moment and asked for blonde highlights once again. Then, on friday I said to meeself "Christy this week you are turning TWENTY SEVEN YEARS OLD! FACE IT! YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLOR DOES NOT RESEMBLE ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO BLONDE ANYMORE IT'S TIME TO ACCEPT REALITY AND GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS!" so to speak. So i did. So far only one person has been honest and told me they don't like it. I like when people are honest about hair. Dustin told me it's the best thing i've ever done to my hair since he's known me. So really, as long as he thinks it's hot it don't matter what anyone else thinks. Although I'd still like to know what the masses feel. Well...? Am I a good brunette or do you prefer the blonde? Be honest. I won't be offended if you say you don't like it. i should have posted a before picture but my camera died just before I was leaving for the salon.

I can't choose!! You look gorgeous with dark hair, but I really love the blonde too...how 'bout a skunk streak so you can have both? And, since I'll be gone and won't have computer access on your actual birthday (yeah for Arizona, baby!) please accept my most loving wishes for your birthday. Happy birthday, darling girl.

How could anyone NOT like it? Like I said on Friday, you can pull off BOTH looks. And you look hot. As either a blonde or brunette :)

I agree with angella How could you ever not look good? (And this from the unbiased opinion of you loving mother)

You really look super hot both ways. But I really really like the brown as a change! To tell you the truth the last time we were together I was thinking to myself that you should go the colour of your roots. A++!! For some honesty, I do think you should fill in your eyebrows though to match your hair;) So much hotness though... Wish I could see it in person!
p.s. I turned off word verification for a week and got so many spam comments that blogger thought my blog was a spam blog and banned me.

I like it dark. If you find it to dark you can always add a few extra blonde highlights.

The TRUTH is,
you are cute as a brunette, no doubt about it!
BUT, personally, I think, a smidgeon cuter as a blonde. But maybe it's just because that's what I'm used to. But, brunette is maybe hotter. Blonde cute, brunette hot. That's my official answer.

You look great either way....seriously! With dimples like that and such a pretty face, who even notices the hair? Seriously, it does look good both ways!
I tagged you in a meme on my blog...fyi.

I think it looks great, but I'm a brunette and probably biased. :)

Christy, I love your hair. I've been a brunette for almost a year and it's amazing how often you 'don't' have to do your roots! Trust me, you'll love it! Kerri

my hair history has been very similar to yours....blonde as a child but darkening as i get older.

I do like the brunette look on you. But i have to admit, i like the blonde better.

People are probably so used to seeing you as a blonde that it may take some time to adjust their views to ... thinking that you look smokin' as a brunette! There's something about dark hair that has an exotic and rich feeling to it. Love it, love it, love it.

Sorry, but I gotta go with the blond. Brunette is a more sophisticated color, but blond is a hotter, summer-beach-babe-look-at-me color. But, maybe we do have to embrace our age, eh? Yah, I'm with you... 27! I don't know what it is about the number 27, but this birthday felt like a big one for me. Hope yours was a good one!

Hey Christy. My name is Becky and I went to school with your Dustin from gr 7-12. I totally randomly came accross your blog and began reading various exerpts, laughing my head off might I add. I was identifying with your motherhood and chidren tantrum stories and I didn't even realize you were Dustin's wife! Then all of a sudden, there was a picture of him and I was like HUH???? Oh my goodness!!! It's just crazy how we can stare into each others lives through a webpage as total stangers, yet after multipul stories, feel somehow connected. So anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself, tell you that you are flipping hilarious, that your chilren are absolutely stunning, your photography is captivating and invite you to stare into my web life when you are bored. ;)
