Daddies are best!

I was going through our photos from the last few months and I was amased at how many were of Dustin and the kids. Mostly because I'm the person staring through the lens. But, i also felt a little tinge of jealousy. It seems, no matter how hard we try... mommies just aren't as much fun as Daddies. Mommies, it seems, are best for kissing owies and cuddles before bedtimes and making dinners and picking out clothes (daddies are horrendous at that), and dealing with freak-outs in the grocery store (mommies suck at that too). But, mommies are NOT as good at say chokeholds, making forts, going to the park and picking up dead animals. And I can see it written all over my kids faces how much MORE FUN Daddy is.

It has also become apparent to me that we have no need whatsoever for a jungle gym of any kind. We have a perfectly goo one that will probably last much longer than the manmade version anyways. Plus this model takes up much less room in the backyard, is portable AND snuggly at nighttime. Try find me one of THOSE babies at Toys R Us.... Hmmm?
In other Heigh news here is little Olivia chowing down on her newfound love. Solid food.
She's so cute...

Daddies are more fun- that's for sure. And I will definitely agree that they are horrible at picking clothes!

Daddy rules at our house too. Great pictures, per usual :)

I sooooooo hear you on the daddy-front! I have began to care less about the matching socks (in true daddy style) and focus more on the tickling. (As instructed by daddy himself).

Great shots!

I agree, moms are just to serious all the time. i just think it is hard for us to step back and not be concerned with everything going on. Its a Mom thing i guess.

OK, that picture of Dustin smiling, all by himself, with his dimples blazing...it's Olivia. The resemblance is uncanny! :)

Daddies are the best hey! Jillian loves her time with her dad. I remember playing with my dad when I was young. It was the best!

Those are great photos Christy. I know what you mean about how hard it is for us moms to compete with fun dad. Ah well. My kids tell me I make good food, that's gotta count for something right?

Great pictures! I especially love the one of Megan hanging off Dustin's back and the one of Ben on the fence. (nice depth of field on that one) And yes, I'd have to agree with the whole Daddy thing, although mommy can still do a back flip!

Christy, I saw you have been stopping by and linked to me! Thanks so much. Your pictures are phenomenal...seriously...amazing! Your kids are gorgeous and I am pretty convinced that Chloe and Olivia could have a very decent Sumo wrestling match. They are roll for roll the cutest! I have added you to my bloglines, so I will be stopping in more. Thanks again for the link!

I love this post. Not only for the beautiful pictures, but also in the truth. Kynan and I have these special little games that just him and I play, but they don't compare to dad's antics.

As for preggy photos, I think it is a little late for that, but I would love to get some after the baby is born with Dana and Kynan. I espeically loved the ones you took of Amanada and Avelyn with the white blanket. Maybe comething like that!?!!? After baby is born and I am ready to resume regular life, I will call you. Thanks so much Christie!!!!!

It's true our kids have such great time with their dads but it's not better or more fun than with mom, it's just different! They really do need (and appreciate) the difference.

My boys prefer their daddy too, but lately have been waiting for me to give them their goodnite smooches or they won't settle down at night. Sigh. At least they appreciate me for something!!
Just wondering what program you use to convert your digitals to black and white??
