Blogging is like scrapbooking.

As in, if you don't keep up to date it gets overwhelming and you just don't do it at all. blah blah. Thank you for your faithfull checking in. I hope to keep more updated. But, I make no promises.

Olivia...
This one's for you!
Not only are you the cutest little chubbaluv to grace mine eyes, but you are the still the sweetest little muffin I know. This months you turned six months. There's only one more day to this months so I thought I'd better get on it and write these things down before I forget.

First of all. You finally started to sit. Well, barely... but you CAN sit. I do have to apologise because I got a little over confident in your sitting ability today and I left you on the floor with the nursing pillow propped behind you just in case you fell back. It wasn't until I heard the sound thud of your roun melon on the hardwood floor from upstairs that I realised your michelin man arms just aren't sufficient yet to prevent you from falling square on your little face. We'll work on that one.

This month you also cut your first tooth. That was fun wasn't it? Let's not do any more of those mkay?

My most favourite thing you learned to do this month is you found your voice. Everytime you use it, no matter how much madness is going on around us, I have to just stop and listen to you. The conversation of all other company pales in comparison to the little bubbling voice you carry to me. Even now though you sleep soundly in your bed I can picture you. You suck in your botton lip like a toothless old man and with a great concentrated effort you manage to form a perfect little mmmmmBAH! mmBAH BAH! Then for a little variety you throw in a few more consonants and let a good old "bwaaaaallllaaa." It's an assalt of such utter adorable sweetness that I could just about roll over and die from it. I will never tire of that voice. Well, until it starts into the whole NO! and backtalk shizz that your brother and sister throw out at me daily. For that my patience grows very thin. Very thin indeed....But, that is another post entirely.

Olivia it feels like youare wooing me. And wooed me you have. You and your eyes with their endless blue oceans. Your melodic singing, your sunny smile. Your fuzzy, stand on end hair and soft round skin. You are perfect. And you are mine and I love you.

First of all, I love your comparison about the absence of blogging to the chore of scrapbooking. So true. I am in the same place. I've been out of town for 2 weeks and its so hard to get started back so its easier to not post at all.

Anyway, Olivia IS such a doll...and how could anyone help but love her. Love your pics of her.

I say we let Olivia and Chloe have a sumo wrestling match. They are roll for roll the cutest butterballs. I know Chloe is just a few weeks older, but I LOVE this stage, their personalities are coming alive and like you said, they are finding their voices and I could bottle it up and get high on it. It is the most heartwarming sound in the world. Great pics as always! Very sassy of you in the first one.

I love your post title, (and your post subject, she's just adorable!), but I'm glad you still posted, although it's hard to start it's so worthwhile to have the finished product!

What a sweet post. For a moment I wanted another baby. Only for a moment. The moment has passed. But seriously, that was so sweet. I can't believe she's six months and I haven't met the little cherub. We'll have to come for a weekend and eat all your food and destroy your new house. Eh?

You're photos are so beautiful. If I was as talented I would set up a home studio and take pictures of babies all day. Talk about the perfect job.

I am so glad for your postings! Yours is a blog I check daily, hungry for your latest news and pictures. Will we see you at the end of July in Edmonton? I hope so! Otherwise, we'll have to make a plan to get together this summer. The kids would have such fun together.

Thanks Christy, I'm sorry, we honestly didn't mean to steal your name. It's funny, I remember reading your daughter's name way back when and I thought it was so beautiful but I didn't associate the two. We had such a hard time picking a name and we really wanted to pick one with good meaning. To us, it's a perfect name because it reminds us of the journey that we've been on to get to this place. We were trying to get pregnant for 3 years and God just kept telling us to be patient and trust in Him and wait on His timing, so, with Olivia, meaning Olive basically, we thought of Noah's ark and how when the bird brought back the olive branch, it was a sign of God's fulfillment to bring dry land back over the earth. I guess to us, her name is a symbol of the fulfillment of God to bring her into being and then Faith as her middle name, us stepping out in faith, trusting that He would do it in His timing.

Christy, I am a friend of the Galbraiths and I found your site through their's. I check what you've posted every once in a while mostly just to see your beautiful pictures. I want to look into getting a better digital camera and just wondering if I could find out what kind you use, only if you have a moment (jimdandygirl@hotmail.com). Peace:)
