This is Benny just standing in the rain being literally pelted.
Here is the road right beside our house.
This is the mountain across the street from us. Notice the waterfalls. They normally aren't there. How crazy is that?
Poor soggy horsies.
Eventually the sun came out again and people wandered bleary eyed out of thier houses to survey the damage. Our dear friends Steve and Amanda were hard hit by the rain and their apple crop was completely destroyed in minutes. Not only that but their rental property basement flooded and soggified their renters belongings. Brutal. Did i mention this happened on their baby girl's first birthday. What the heck?
Yet, with the loving help of friends and a rainbow to brighten the darkened sky things seem to be not so terrible after all.

Thank goodness that wet, awful day is done! Thanks for taking such great photos at that partay; again there are many in there I will treasure for life. For liiiiiiiife!
I think you captured yesterday PERFECTLY! :)
Oh my gosh Christy. That looks like Texas. We made the National News the past few weeks - horrible flooding but over weeks!!! I can sympathize. I read about Amanda at her blog...I feel so bad for the crops! Anyway, love the pics of Amanda and Avelyn with the rainbow. Beautiful.
Thanks for the pictures Christy. We cannot believe how much rain there was. I don't know if I've ever seen that much rain in Summerland before. Good pics, as per usual!
oh my goodness! that's crazy.
did i tell you guys we are moving to kelowna in october? hopefully we can hang out.
Beautiful shots to capture the rain. It was pretty wild, here, too. So glad that there was a rainbow.
Those photos are amazing. Glad your place didn't get flooded, cause I noticed a lot of people on your street had flooded basements.
Hey guys! we wanna come back with our kids. Are you guys doing anything this coming weekend?
THe poor soggy horses comment made me laugh, why? I am so stinking tired today, not that you don't amuse me,but I laughed a little too hard where I had to question myself. Great pictures of Amanda and Avelyn...as usual!
The picture of your little boy in the rain is just incredible. I love it.
Can I hire you to follow me around and document my boring little life? Although I can only pay you in cupcakes. I hope that's okay :)
