Glory baby.

A couple of very dear friends of mine have recently been through the heartache that comes when a woman experiences new life in her womb only to then have a miscarriage. I myself have never experienced this kind of loss. The loss of a dream. Of a child, of new life.... I can only imagine what that must be like.

Last night I was listening to some musice on the computer before I climbed into bed and this song came on. A song I heard many times, but now takes on a deep meaning I've never really thought about it in this way before.

Glory baby, you slipped away, as fast as we could say baby, baby.
You were growing. What happened dear you disappeared on us baby, baby.
Heaven will hold you before we do. Heaven will keep you safe until we're home with you.
Until were home with you.
But we miss you every day, we miss you in every way.
But, we know there's a day when we will hold you we will hold you.
And you'll kiss our tears away. When we're home to stay.
I can't wait for the day when we will see you, we will see you.
Baby let sweet Jesus hold you till mom and dad can hold you.
You'll just have heaven before we do. You'll just have heaven before we do.

Sweet little babies it's hard to understand it cuz we're hurting, we are hurting.
But there is healing and we know we're stronger people through the growing.
And then knowing, all things work together for our good.
And God works his purposes just like he said he would, like he said he would.

But we miss you every day, we miss you in every way.
But we know there's a day when we will hold you we will hold you.
And you'll kiss our tears away when we're home to stay.
Can't wait for the day when we will see you, we will see you.
Baby let sweet Jesus hold you till mom and dad can hold you.
You'll just have heaven before we do. You'll just have heaven before we do.

I can't imagine heavens lullabys and what they must sound like. But, I will rest in knowing heaven is your home and it's all you'll ever know. All youy'll ever know.

We miss you every day, we miss you in every way.
And we know there's a day when we will see you we will see you.
And you'll kiss our tears away when we're home to stay.
Can't wait for the day when we will see you, we will see you.
Baby let sweet Jesus hold you till mom and dad can hold you.
You'll just have heaven before we do... You'll just have heaven before we do...

That made me cry! It's been almost 4 years since we lost our baby, and I still wonder from time to time who we'll meet in Heaven.

Thanks Christy! I wish I could hear the song. Can you sing it for me?

I hope it's all right that I've read your blog Christy,I linked to it from Amanda's page. I just think this was a great post, I haven't suffered a miscarriage of significance, but have felt the pain of friends who have and this was just a great song, thanks for sharing. And I love that picture of the feet. Little people are so amazing.
