Miracle

Friday morning Dustin and I drove in the beautiful warm sunshine to Kelowna to get a glimpse into my womb and see our little baby dear swishing around for the first time. We went to see a friend from our church who happens to an ultrasound technician. And I must say that having connections is a wonderful thing. This being my third baby I know how the usual procedure goes. And it was not the usual treatment. She had booked us a full hour. And Dustin was able to be in the room the entire time! We even got to have our own separate viewing screen to watch the baby wriggle around. It was amazing. She was using a new machine that showed even the blood flowing through the main arteries. We saw a cute little button nose and all the right bones and fingers and toes in all the right places. We saw the baby sucking it's thumb and crossing it's legs. It was incredible! What a miracle! I'm always in awe of the incredible miracle of new life. how amazing it is that this beautiful being is being created, knit together day by day hour by hour changing and growing.

I was blessed and once again reminded of the amazing love and faithfulness of my God and Father. That He lavishes on us with this amazing gift. On Sunday our pastor asked us if we've seen God this past week. Because without a doubt He is showing Himself to us. Do we have the eyes to see and the ears to hear what it is he is showing us? Well, I saw again the beauty and love of God in the intricate details and the delicate face of this precious baby that continues to grow within me. My cup runneth over again.

Oh yeah...
it's a GIRL!!!

Great! Does this mean we can use the name you had chosen if it was a boy? We really like it and want to.

I should have booked an appointment with this incredible ultrasound lady when we were in the area. That would have been fabulous.

Yes, you can certainly use that name. It's a beautiful name and I would hate to see it unused.
