newsflash!

Well, we sold our town house. Hallelujah! No more frantic cleaning trying to keep the place in order for potential viewers. And amazingly enough we got our asking price. We asked a very fair price and remained firm and we sold it. So, from now on in it's boxes, and packing and cleaning for me. We have to ship out on the fifteenth of September but I may have to go crash at my parents house in Lethbridge for awhile as our house might not yet be ready for a family with two very destructive children. Dustin's been painting like a madman trying to get it finished so he can install our hardwood floor.(drool drool). I have a few pictures of the main floor primed. But, i;m hoping to take more as the color goes on. I'm SO impressed with the colors we've chosen. They all work together in compliment with one another. Something important to me. My home must have flow and continuity. I go crazy when colors from one room to the next clash. But, that's just me. I can't believe how soon we'll be living in it! I'm so excited. It still seems so surreal to me though. Our first REAL house! I hope you all come and visit us sometime.
My prayer is first and formost to have our home be a sanctuary. A place of peace and rest. (A bit of a challenge with young children). I hope for everyone who enters to feel welcomed and blessed. I would be so sad for our home to nothing more than a "nice new house". Because really, to have a nice house that's not a haven of rest where the peace of love of God dwells. It's just that...a house. So, please come and share in God's rich blessing with us! I cannot guarantee a tidy house, but I can assure you that you are always most welcome with us. :)

It is great that your place sold so fast. Nothing worse than having to have a place spotless everyday especially with kids. Can't wait to see the colours you have chosen.

Congrats!! That is great that you sold your place. And awesome that you love your new colour choices.
Good luck with the packing, I would offer to help, but I am afraid I wouldn't be much help. Also I don't know if you need boxes but behind home hardware they always have a bunch and you can just take them. Go load up!

Congratulations on selling your home, and on LOVING your new one. I can totally relate to keeping a house clean for perspective buyers while pregnant and running after 2 kids. I bet it's a load off!

Congratulations, that is wonderful news! I agree totally on wanting your home to be a sanctuary. We're so enjoying having more space since we've moved and having a more peaceful home so that company can visit without the kids being right on top of them the whole time. I hope your new home will be a great blessing.
