Can I come home yet?

Despite the fact that I've had a wicked time here in Lethbridge with my family (wicked being of the good variety) I want to come home. I need to come home. I need to be there to tell my husband it is now time to rid his lower face of the monstrosity of hair which now resides there. And to remind him that bathing is good. And to wrap my arms around him again at night. And to see him toss his children, our children in the air in delight at seeing them once again after nearly three weeks of absence. I need to able to watch Grey's Anatomy on Thursday nights with my girlfriends, and sip Caramel Frappuccinos at Starbucks with them. I need a home again. I think my mom (as much as she loves me) is ready to bid us farewell and have some peace and quiet again.

I must say though, it's been a productive time. I finished sewing my sister's duvet/bedskirt/pillow shams, I sewed the top of my baby's quilt (it'd better be a girl like they told me cuz it's pink and green), I started working on my corespondance nursing course, I drove two hours to IKEA today with my mom, sister and kids and after three crazy hours walked out with enough kid stuff to dress two bedrooms and a playroom. Note to self:IKEA is dangerous! Luckily most if it was purchsed using gift certificates from last Christmas. Good thing they don't expire. I canned peaches, I made cookies, I upped my iron intake, I shopped...alot, and yet I HAVE NOT POOPED! I think the weight of my baby is presses so firmly against my intestinal wall that I might as well accept the fact that I won't be pooping at all until November when the baby comes. Because it seems no matter how much Lactulose I drink or Colace I take or water I consume or excercise I do there will be no passage. Like how in 'The Lord of the Rings" Gandalf raises his staff to the Barok of Fire and Flame and commands him "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" He also abides there in my colon holding back the demon threatening to cross. I say...Just let him go Gandalf... I beg you.

Enough of that. And just so you know, our new house does not yet have internet so it may be awhile until I start posting again.

I know the feeling! I hope you get home soon. I know the girls miss you, and I'm sure Dustin does most of all. :)

Hi Christy- we're ready for you to come home too, and for you to have a good poo. That's not right. Perhaps if you can convince your husband to shave his lovely beard, maybe I can convince my mountain man to tame his hairiness. IT's wishful thinking on my part but I think D will be more than willing to do whatever he can for you cause he'll be so excited to have you home! See you soon.

Your blogs make me laugh. I mean the fact that you can't poop isn't funny, but you have a creative gift of expressing yourself through it.
